2007 Hawkes Bay Viognier
Tasting Note
The White Label Reserve Viognier 2007 is one of the top wines from this vintage.

Aromatic with orange blossom and mandarin characters, this medium bodied wine with intense flavours is an excellent example of Viognier, the new kid on the block. With aromas of ripe apricots and orange blossoms the White Label Reserve Viognier 07 is dry in style, sharing some Chardonnay traits such as distinctive fruit flavours and a creamy mouth feel.

Ideal with Asian stir fries, Thai food and curries it would also be an excellent accompaniment to dishes with more subtle flavours like fish.

Reviews
"Weighty and fleshy, the 2007 vintage has fresh, peachy, spicey, faintly honeyed flavours showing good intensity. It's a slightly creamy and leesy wine, with some complexity and a dry, well-rounded finish. **** Michael Cooper - Wine Guide 2009
