Tasting Note The 2009 vintage in Marlborough was far superior to that
of 2008. Fruit from our Kuranui vineyard in the Awatere
Valley was harvested at optimum ripeness. The result is
a wine that showcases the very best of what
Marlborough has to offer.
The wine is bursting with gooseberry, capsicum and
subtle grassy aromas while the flavours are dominated
by tropical fruit notes and red capsicum. It has a weighty
mouth-feel and lengthy finish.
A fine wine that exhibits great intensity, delicate
structure and persistence. A wonderful accompaniment
to seafood and salads.
Accolades 89/100 (4.5 stars) Sam Kim, 2010.
Bronze - New World WIne Awards, 2010.
Reviews A fresh and lifted nose displaying blackcurrant, lime zest and passionfruit characters. It's fruit forward and intense on the palate with a juicy mouthfeel and a crisp dry finish. It's classically flavoured and nicely harmonised showing a huge appeal. At its best: now to 2012. Sam Kim, 2010.
