Morton Estate is a strongly established, quality wine company. Famous in particular for Chardonnays. The 1995 Black Label Hawkes Bay Chardonnay won the "Best Chardonnay in the World" Trophy in the London International Wine Challenge in 1997. Following this, the 2000 and 2002 Coniglio were both Double Trophy Winners in the 2005 and 2006 Decanter World Wine Awards, for the best International Chardonnay over £10 and the best Regional Chardonnay over £10.
Morton Estate has also made a name for itself with magnificent Sauvignon Blancs, with the 2002 Stone Creek Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc winning the Trophy for "Best Sauvignon Blanc in the World" at the London International Wine Challenge 2003. In the same year our Morton Brut Methode Traditionnelle won the "Sparkling Trophy" at the Air New Zealand Wine Awards. In 2007 our Black Label Methode Traditionelle 2000 won Gold in the London International Wine and Spirit Competition along with Best in Class.
Not resting on our laurels, we are continuously striving to improve our wines in order to offer outstanding examples at all price points. |
